    Position Overview:
    Keck Graduate Institute (KGI) is seeking an Admissions Outreach Representative who will be responsible for outreach efforts for designated KGI programs in an assigned territory. The Admissions Outreach Representative will closely collaborate with the Director of Outreach to provide leadership in all aspects of outreach, including planning, execution, and tracking activities in their assigned local, regional, national, and international territories. The Admissions Outreach Representative will also serve as an active admissions team member, participating in other events and activities as needed.

    KGI consists of three schools; the Riggs School of Applied Life Sciences, the School of Community Medicine, and the School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. KGI offers innovative postgraduate degrees and certificates that integrate life and health sciences, business, pharmacy, engineering, medicine, and genetics, with a focus on industry projects, hands-on industry experiences, and team collaboration. With an entrepreneurial approach and industry connections, KGI provides pathways for students to become leaders within healthcare and the applied life sciences. The admissions outreach representative will be tasked with recruiting students to KGI's degree programs.

    Education and Experience:
    A Bachelor's degree is required, however, a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or Life Science is preferred. 2 or more years of experience in admissions, recruitment, sales, marketing, applied life science, or demonstrated success in a similar position within an accredited higher learning institution preferred. Bilingual skills are also preferred.

    Essential Functions and Responsibilities : Individuals must possess knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the essential function of the position, or be able to explain or demonstrate how the essential functions may be performed, with or without, reasonable accommodations, using some other combination of skills and abilities.

    Create an outreach strategy for assigned territory in collaboration with the Director of Outreach:

    Research community colleges and undergraduate institutions within the territory and gather knowledge of opportunities available.
    Publicize and market programs to prospective students.
    Use social media to generate interest in KGI programs.
    Create flyers and presentations in preparation for school visits.
    Work with program directors and other faculty to schedule sessions.
    Manage all travel arrangements.

    Conduct all recruitment activities within assigned territory (up to 80% travel at peak times):

    Participate in information sessions, meetings, fairs, and other events.
    Give in-person and virtual presentations about KGI programs to various audiences.
    Maintain knowledge of KGI programs and related industries.
    Meet, advise, and establish relationships with prospective students.
    Develop new ideas for outreach to increase interest.
    Initiate new articulation agreements with key influencers.

    Track outreach activities and inquiries:
    Clean, upload, and track inquiry data in CRM and follow up in a timely manner.
    Maintain relationships with key influencers, student clubs, and other school contacts.

    Other:
    Participate in admissions events (i.e. visit days, KGI Fridays, TMP Day, etc.).
    Conduct general office duties, including invoicing, budgeting, reconciliation, etc.

    Demonstrated proficiency in social media, internet research, and Microsoft Office Suite
    Self-directed and motivated individual with the ability to work autonomously
    Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
    Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to a rapid-paced work environment with flexibility and initiative
    Ability to make ethical decisions, doing what is best for the students and institution
    Excellent presentation skills with clear, concise, accurate, and relevant messaging
    Able to travel extensively between campuses and other locations for meetings and outreach events
    Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
    Proven skills utilizing tact and diplomacy with the public, students, faculty, and staff
    Experience converting and motivating target groups to take action
    Experience maintaining a database and/or application system (Salesforce.com or Enrollment Rx a plus)

    Special Requirements:

    Physical and Mental Requirements:
    Ability to maintain good concentration level while dealing with interruptions; attention to details with emphasis on accuracy; capable of giving, receiving, and analyzing information, formulating work plans, and articulating goals and action plans. Sitting in a normal seated position for extended periods of time. Standing for extended periods of time. Reaching and extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any direction. Ability to see within normal parameters. Ability to hear within normal parameters. Ability to bend and stoop, for example, to file. Ability to move about. Ability to lift and carry short distances up to 20 lbs., for example, to lift or move office supplies, files, books, and packages. Ability to drive locally. Occasionally, will be required to stand for prolonged periods of time at activities/events on and off-campus.
