  • Position Summary:

    The Admissions department is responsible for representing InterCoast Colleges in a positive and professional manner while meeting with new students as part of the College's enrollment process. This position requires excellent verbal and written communications and strong time management skills. This individual must be able to problem solve where needed (ie: assist students by referring them to agencies that can provide child care, transportation and other support services). InterCoast expects its employees to maintain a pleasant and professional team oriented attitude and appearance with students, staff and within the community. The Admissions department is expected to uphold the highest levels of ethical conduct and professionalism at all times.

    Job Responsibilities:

    · Contact prospective students requesting information on the programs offered and answer their questions, while determining if the program is a good match for their educational and career goals

    · A typical day may consist of 75% phone work and 25% in-person student activity with normally 100 outbound calls on average per day. Ensure that all prospective student database activity matches actual time spent on telephone and interviews completed on a daily basis

    · Follow-up with all assigned inquiries as appropriate with telephone, email, letter and schedule appointments for in-person interviews and campus tours

    · Interviews with prospective students will follow a standardized guide to ensure they receive full information on program information, including outcomes, graduation and attendance requirements, and other items as required

    · Refer students to the financial aid office, if they request financial assistance

    · Refer Veterans students to the SCO for assistance in navigating the various Veterans Benefits in which they may qualify

    · Conduct campus tours to prospective students and their families. All prospective students must be provided with a catalog and all various disclosures on their first visit to the campus

    · Represent InterCoast at public events, including student events and career fairs as requested by supervisor

    · Attend all student graduation events, and assist with the preparation as requested by supervisor

    · Complete, with 100% accuracy, all student enrollment documents and forms

    · Participate in new student orientations, as assigned by supervisor

    · Participate in trainings, meetings, Zoom calls and webinars, as assigned by supervisor and/or senior management

    · Provide and maintain frequent communication with direct supervisor, department and senior management

    · Apply and comply with federal, state and institutional regulatory policies and procedures; comply with all InterCoast Colleges Policies and Procedures

    · Work a minimum of two evening shifts (11am-8pm) and a minimum of one Saturday per month or as needed

    · Complete and submit a Daily Activity Report (DAR) to direct supervisor each scheduled workday with details of all activity with students

    · Performs other position related duties, as assigned

    Job Requirements:

    • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a sales related field; inside sales preferred
    • For the Director role, must have a minimum of two years sales management experience, preferably in a vocational college setting
    • Basic computer skills (Internet navigation, Windows, Word, Power Point, etc.)
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Outstanding customer service skills
    • Effective time management skills
    • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment
    • Open availability
    • High school diploma required; bachelor's degree or post-secondary education is preferred
    • Experience working with Certificate, Diploma, Online and/or AAS Programs a PLUS

    *Pay rate is based off of the following criteria based off submission of resume: Level of education, special training, sales experience, education sales experience, job longevity, management experience and school management experience
