Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Admissions Coordinator to join our team. The Admissions Coordinator will be responsible for managing the admissions process and providing exceptional customer service to patients. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the Substance Abuse Treatment field, strong administrative skills, and a working knowledge of Substance Use Disorder and HIPAA regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist potential clients/family members calling in for more information on our program
- Collect patient information and verify insurance coverage
- Schedule intakes and coordinate with the operations team
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic medical record systems such as KIPU
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies
- Provide information about services and billing to patients
- Process admissions paperwork and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with other administrative staff to ensure smooth operations of the office
Requirements:
- Previous experience in the Substance Abuse Treatment field highly preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in using office software such as Google Suite
- Knowledge of medical terminology and understanding of HIPAA regulations
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry
