GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
This is a FLSA non-exempt position. The primary focus of this position is the support of the various functions within the Administrative Services Center at Region Ten. In this role, the incumbent will provide administrative support to various functions as well as provide support on projects in various departments within Administrative Services that include Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Procurement, and Human Resources.
The incumbent reports to the Senior Director of Administrative Services and receives general supervision. The incumbent is expected to demonstrate initiative and exercise sound judgement, escalating any complex questions to the manager who is overseeing the project or task they are currently working with. In carrying out position duties, he/she performs in accordance with applicable professional ethics and established Region Ten policies, especially as regards confidentiality and customer satisfaction and good time management skills.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s preferred.
In addition, the incumbent needs to possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
Knowledge of: basic Accounting principles, processes and data; word processing and spreadsheet software to include Word and Excel; After hire the incumbent must gain thorough knowledge of Region Ten Finance and Accounting practices procedures, policies and the agency system; some Region Ten programmatic knowledge; standard office practices and procedures.
Skills in: oral and written communication; strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word and Excel; strong analytical skills; data entry, Problem solving; database management; MUNIS (prior experience helpful)
