Administrative Services Manager directs and coordinates the delivery of administrative services such as clerical support, mail distribution, document management, maintenance, and food service to ensure efficient operations of the business. Ensures that users understand how to access services with clear policies and procedures. Payroll Specialist
  • DELTA ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES, LLC

  • This position will be responsible for the coordination of all payroll related activities to include new client payroll setup, payroll processing, ACH, supplemental payrolls, garnishments, payroll delivery and client maintenance. Ensure payroll activities are executed in accordance with all laws, outsource agreements and within the [PEO] contract. Remain current with all company payroll/other related software interfaces. Work with clients, service teams, operations and outsource vendor(s) to ensure quality service and resolution of issues.

    Job Functions 

    • Establish and maintain operational policies for payroll.
    • Address and resolve any operational issues or problems with regard to payroll.
    • Ensure payroll processes are current.
    • Evaluate prospective client payroll information.
    • Process garnishments and answer subpoenas, as required.
    • Coordinate and reconcile payroll issues.
    • Manage and coordinate ACH preparation, positive pay and execution activities. 
    • Coordinate and process supplemental payrolls.
    • Manage and process the maintenance of client payrolls.
    • Coordinate and process all federal/state compliance deposits/reporting, wage and hour.
    • Coordinate and execute client compliance training. 
    • Attend and participate departmental and company meetings.
    • Participate in strategic decision making, including setting goals and decisions products services.
    • Responsible for the file maintenance and record keeping of all payroll related material. 
    • Assist with payroll reconciliation error report.
    • Answer and screen incoming telephone calls and emails on an as needed basis.
    • Stay current in payroll/HR fields.

    Job Skills

    • Some auto travel to and from client locations mostly in New Orleans and Metairie area.
    • Regular hours 8am - 5pm, Monday - Friday; however overtime will be required on an as needed basis.
    • Standard computers and printers.
    • Microsoft Office series - Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Micosoft Execl Intermediate to Expert experience required.
    • Fax/Copy/Scanning machines.

    Job Requirements

    • High School Diploma or equivalency
    • One year performing payroll operations for small to medium sized (250 employee) company or PEO.
    • One year or more administrative experience.
    • Computer literate in all Microsoft applications; ability to handle multi phone line system
    • Continuing Education Requirements / Skills
    • Completion of a minimum of 16 hours per year of continuing education seminar/coursework in payroll and related topics.
    • Business mathematics
    • Self motivated
    • Attention to detail
    • Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

    Physical Requirements

    • Sit for extended periods of time
    • Ability to work on a computer for extended periods of time
    • Walk up and down a full flight of stairs daily

    Pre-employment drug test and criminal background check required.
