Oversees various internal service functions that typically include administrative/office, financial operations, facility maintenance/space planning, security, hospitality services, equipment and supply procurement, vendor management, and others. Being an Administrative Services Director monitors capital and operating budget spending. Designs and implements processes and policies that support efficient service delivery and meet the organization's changing needs. Additionally, Administrative Services Director sets departmental performance goals and standards of service. Utilizes data analytics to measure activity and drive continuous improvement. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Administrative Services Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be an Administrative Services Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. As the inaugural Director of the Office for Administrative Services for Independent Agencies (ASIA), your leadership will pave the way for how this department will shape the future. From ideation to execution, your guidance will be instrumental in fostering excellence within an array of complex sectors. Specifically, this includes budget, accounting, payroll, and human resources support services to 5 smaller independent agencies (The Office of the Child Protection Ombudsman, The Independent Ethics Commission, The Office of Public Guardianship, The Commission on Judicial Discipline, and Bridges of Colorado) and payroll and human resources support services to three larger independent agencies (The Office of Alternate Defense Counsel, The Office of the Child’s Representative, and the Office of Respondent Parents’ Counsel). As a result, in this role, you will have the exciting opportunity to navigate complex matters and administrative functions/issues related to child welfare, adult welfare, mental health, and regulatory systems.
