Administrative Assistant– New Fire for Christ
New Fire for Christ is a non-profit worldwide ministry in 10 nations, reaching many tens of thousands for Christ, with headquarters in Norfolk, Virginia, seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant. This position requires the assistant to work with the Office Manager and the President and the Women's Director by doing tasks delegated to the assistant. The assistant should also be comfortable working alone when needed.
The Administrative Assistant is responsible for: reconciling accounts, creating profit/loss statements, filing payroll taxes, weekly posting of contributions, calling supporters regarding contributions, keeping clear and accurate records, filing, helping with preparations, typing up and sending correspondence (such as newsletters and emails), and occasionally handling some correspondence in other projects.
A qualified candidate should ideally have at least two years experience in an office setting and must have some bookkeeping experience and proficiency with QuickBooks, Excel, and Word, with excellent grammar (knowledge of Publisher would be a bonus). An Associate or Bachelor's degree is preferred. As the Administrative Assistant you would be joining a ministry team.
