Addiction Mental Health Assessor jobs in Yakima, WA

Addiction Mental Health Assessor conducts initial and ongoing assessments of patients in Alcohol and Drug (AoD) addiction programs to determine mental health needs and establish care requirements. Provides initial treatment and refers clients to appropriate agencies/providers as needed. Being an Addiction Mental Health Assessor works with patients and families to develop appropriate chemical dependency service plans. Complies with standards in the area of evaluation, assessment, treatment, and service delivery to clients. Additionally, Addiction Mental Health Assessor requires certification as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) or similar. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. May require a state license to practice. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Addiction Mental Health Assessor's years of experience requirement may be unspecified.     We have an excellent opportunity for a Bilingual Addiction Counselor at our Wenatchee location.


    The Bilingual Addiction Counselor provides information, screening, assessments, counseling and group therapy, and referrals to services via a Motivational Interview approach that takes the Stages of Change into account for CVCH patients who have or may have a substance use disorder.

    This position works closely and in collaboration with CVCHs Behavioral Health Therapists, Behavioral Medicine Consultants, Social Workers, Care Coordinators, Case Managers and CVCHs Primary Care Providers in a team-based approach to screenings, assessments, treatment planning and the provision of treatment services to support patients wellness and recovery from maladaptive uses of substances.

    *Position Requirements:

    AA, BA or MA degree

    Certification as a SUDP

    2 years providing substance use disorder treatment within a facility licensed to provide substance use disorder treatment.

    Bilingual English/Spanish
