Addiction Mental Health Assessor jobs in Salisbury, NC
Addiction Mental Health Assessor conducts initial and ongoing assessments of patients in Alcohol and Drug (AoD) addiction programs to determine mental health needs and establish care requirements. Provides initial treatment and refers clients to appropriate agencies/providers as needed. Being an Addiction Mental Health Assessor works with patients and families to develop appropriate chemical dependency service plans. Complies with standards in the area of evaluation, assessment, treatment, and service delivery to clients. Additionally, Addiction Mental Health Assessor requires certification as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) or similar. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. May require a state license to practice. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Addiction Mental Health Assessor's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Advanced Practitioner Job Responsibilities
- Mentor and conduct professional development activities in medical subjects relevant to the
- Participate in all trainings as required by federal, state, local, and accrediting agencies and
- Develop and present training content for education on various medical topics relevant to
- Perform medical services within the scope of his/her education, training, and expertise.
- Ensure implementation of medical quality health standard for both patients and employees.
- Provide medical input into overall program philosophy, treatment services, and patient
- Provide a response to emergency care providers when they require consultation for one of
- Collaborate whenever necessary with other physicians, clinics or hospitals participating in
- Attend weekly treatment team meetings, as well as outside seminars and training.
- Hold a basic understanding of drug/alcohol abuse and addiction and keep updated on
- Develop professional, helpful, and effective relationships with patients, team members, and

- Master’s degree or equivalent
- North Carolina Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician’s Assistant
- D.E.A licensure as required by BrightView-Data 2000/X Waiver Preferred
- 3 to 5 years experience preferred, with at least 1 year of experience in addiction treatment
