Addiction Mental Health Assessor conducts initial and ongoing assessments of patients in Alcohol and Drug (AoD) addiction programs to determine mental health needs and establish care requirements. Provides initial treatment and refers clients to appropriate agencies/providers as needed. Being an Addiction Mental Health Assessor works with patients and families to develop appropriate chemical dependency service plans. Complies with standards in the area of evaluation, assessment, treatment, and service delivery to clients. Additionally, Addiction Mental Health Assessor requires certification as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) or similar. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. May require a state license to practice. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Addiction Mental Health Assessor's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Berin Psych Inc., is looking for enthusiastic, creative, energetic, cognitively flexible, reliable, compassionate, culturally sensitive, and trauma-informed clinical practitioners to join our team. Primary goal is to provide individualized, client-centered, culturally informed mental health counseling. We serve a range of clients including children, adolescents, and transitional age youth, as well as adults and couples through age 70 years old.
The ideal candidate will be license-eligible or has an active, non-restricted mental health license (LMHC, LICSW, LCSW, PsyD, PhD) and is ready to provide in person and telehealth mental health services. Services will include diagnostic assessment, evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for myriad of mental health challenges and psychological disorders.
Candidates must have passion for helping others, possess excellent communication skills, and writing skills, along with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Candidates must have awareness and insight, the ability to engage in self-reflection, and to take ownership of their choices and decisions in the context of clinical practice and service. Efficient and effective documentation skills are a requirement.
