Provides initial treatment and refers clients to appropriate agencies/providers as needed. Being an Addiction Mental Health Assessor works with patients and families to develop appropriate chemical dependency service plans. Complies with standards in the area of evaluation, assessment, treatment, and service delivery to clients. Additionally, Addiction Mental Health Assessor requires certification as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) or similar. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. MENTAL HEALTH TECHNICIAN
I. The Mental Health Technician assists residents in working on their goals, managing activities of
daily living and daily program needs, with additional assignments as directed by the program supervisor.
II. Duties will include:
· Responsibilities may vary based on your scheduled shift
· Maximize a therapeutic structured community environment through individualized support and
therapeutic activities.
· Transports and accompanies clients to off- site programs, activities, and appointments as
directed.
· Documents residents’ accomplishment of specific objectives set forth in treatment and/or
behavior plans
· Reports all incidents of an emergency nature immediately to the program or on-call supervisor
· Completes all required documentation for incidents as dictated by the program
· Responsible for the general safety of all residents.
· Safeguards the residents’ at all times and maintains confidentiality
· Ensures that the physical surroundings of the L.T.S.R. and its vehicle(s) are free from hazard at all
times and reports irregularities immediately to the administrative assistant
· Other duties as required
