Addiction Mental Health Assessor conducts initial and ongoing assessments of patients in Alcohol and Drug (AoD) addiction programs to determine mental health needs and establish care requirements. Provides initial treatment and refers clients to appropriate agencies/providers as needed. Being an Addiction Mental Health Assessor works with patients and families to develop appropriate chemical dependency service plans. Complies with standards in the area of evaluation, assessment, treatment, and service delivery to clients. Additionally, Addiction Mental Health Assessor requires certification as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) or similar. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. May require a state license to practice. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Addiction Mental Health Assessor's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. This member of the multidisciplinary team has responsibility to carry out service coordination, rehabilitation, and support functions for clients in the Flexible Assertive Community Treatment (FACT) program. In addition, the Mental Health Professional on the FACT Team provides assessment services, specialized group and individual psychoeducation, and treatment for clients who have been diagnosed with mental health and/or co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
Compensation: $27.33- $38.29 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.
