Addiction Mental Health Assessor conducts initial and ongoing assessments of patients in Alcohol and Drug (AoD) addiction programs to determine mental health needs and establish care requirements. Provides initial treatment and refers clients to appropriate agencies/providers as needed. Being an Addiction Mental Health Assessor works with patients and families to develop appropriate chemical dependency service plans. Complies with standards in the area of evaluation, assessment, treatment, and service delivery to clients. Additionally, Addiction Mental Health Assessor requires certification as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) or similar. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. May require a state license to practice. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Addiction Mental Health Assessor's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. MHA is hiring immediately for an Addiction & Recovery Clinician for our BestLife Behavioral Health Clinic. The Addiction & Recovery Clinician will work in a community behavioral health and addiction setting, providing services to individuals experiencing a mental health and/or substance use disorder need. Services will include provision of comprehensive assessments, development of individualized treatment plans, ongoing counseling for mental health, substance use and co-occurring disorders, case management and collaboration, referrals to community support and MAT/MOUD psychiatric services and psychoeducation, while utilizing evidence-based practices. The Addiction & Recovery Clinician will work with the Clinic Director, Clinical Supervisors and MAT/MOUD Prescribers to also design and lead/co-lead groups meeting the unique needs of the greater community and agency.
