Addiction Mental Health Assessor jobs in Clifton, NJ

The Mental Health Clinic of Passaic is a private, not-for-profit, 501 (c) (3) community organization licensed by the NJ Department of Human Services and the NJ Department of Children & Families. We provide comprehensive outpatient services to children, adults and families who are experiencing emotional and/or behavioral difficulties.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Perform intakes/psycho-social evaluations and formulate treatment plans.
• Provide individual and family therapy to assigned clients.
• Review cases with staff psychiatrist as needed.
• Provide crisis intervention.
• Liaison with other agencies and schools.
• Maintain caseload by outreaching and discharging clients.
• Complete clinical documentation, including collateral contacts, progress notes and treatment plans within the given time frame.

Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in counseling or related field completed or expected
• LAC/LPC or LSW/LCSW preferred
• Bilingual English/Spanish required

This full-time position is for our Gregory Avenue Outpatient location. Clinicians are supervised by a Licensed Professional Counselor, Approved Clinical Supervisor. This is an excellent entry level opportunity for candidates who have recently graduated or expected to graduate from a Master's Degree program. We work with a diverse client population.
