Addiction Mental Health Assessor jobs in Altoona, PA

Cove Forge is currently hiring a Full Time Mental Health Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner with experience in the Mental Health or Substance Use Disorders Field. As part of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in diagnosing, supporting and treating those in our facility. We are looking for individuals who are team players and are passionate about behavioral health.

Requirements:

· Mental Health Certification and Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner program required

· Clinical experience working with substance use and mental health disorders, ability to demonstrate knowledge diagnosing, prescribing, therapeutic treatment, patient care, etc

· One or more years' experience as a Mental Health Certified CRNP preferred but not required

Primary responsibilities include:

· Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic illness, independently or as a part of a healthcare team.

· Assess physical and psychiatric health of patient and formulate measures to meet patient needs.

· Chart clinical observation, evaluations and treatment of patient according to facility guidelines.

· May focus on health promotion and disease prevention; order, perform or interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work and screenings.

· Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards the individuals we treat. Acknowledge and work to resolve patient needs and concerns. Recognize that patient safety is a top priority.
