Addiction Mental Health Assessor conducts initial and ongoing assessments of patients in Alcohol and Drug (AoD) addiction programs to determine mental health needs and establish care requirements. Provides initial treatment and refers clients to appropriate agencies/providers as needed. Being an Addiction Mental Health Assessor works with patients and families to develop appropriate chemical dependency service plans. Complies with standards in the area of evaluation, assessment, treatment, and service delivery to clients. Additionally, Addiction Mental Health Assessor requires certification as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) or similar. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. May require a state license to practice. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Addiction Mental Health Assessor's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Cove Forge is currently hiring a Full Time Mental Health Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner with experience in the Mental Health or Substance Use Disorders Field. As part of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in diagnosing, supporting and treating those in our facility. We are looking for individuals who are team players and are passionate about behavioral health.
Requirements:
· Mental Health Certification and Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner program required
· Clinical experience working with substance use and mental health disorders, ability to demonstrate knowledge diagnosing, prescribing, therapeutic treatment, patient care, etc
· One or more years' experience as a Mental Health Certified CRNP preferred but not required
Primary responsibilities include:
· Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic illness, independently or as a part of a healthcare team.
· Assess physical and psychiatric health of patient and formulate measures to meet patient needs.
· Chart clinical observation, evaluations and treatment of patient according to facility guidelines.
· May focus on health promotion and disease prevention; order, perform or interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work and screenings.
· Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards the individuals we treat. Acknowledge and work to resolve patient needs and concerns. Recognize that patient safety is a top priority.
