Position Overview
As a Consulting Actuary you will work with a team of industry professionals on regulatory consulting and other insurance industry engagements. This position is a leadership role and has opportunity for advancement to Partner as well as personal and professional growth.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Serve as the health actuarial subject matter expert on client engagements including; lead key client engagements, prepare original actuarial analysis, oversee internal resources, advise project team on potential solutions and strategies to meet project goals and client needs, adhere to project budget and timelines, train and mentor junior staff, lead health actuarial recruiting efforts to support growth. Partner with other firm resources on cross-disciplinary projects and ensure actuarial work is delivered with high quality and within budget.
Business development; create new business opportunities through individual selling efforts as well as by supporting team sales initiatives, cultivate and nurture client relationships to create awareness of Firm capabilities to help generate incremental business, assist in formulating proposals demonstrating our value proposition and our solutions.
Contribute to the intellectual capital of the practice and Firm.
Lead health actuarial recruiting efforts to support growth.
