1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in mathematics, actuarial science, or a closely related field.
2. Passed at least two actuarial exams administered by the Society of Actuaries.
3. Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts including statistics and algebra.
4. Proficient in personal computer use including experience with spreadsheet, word processing, and database systems.
5. Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
6. Demonstrates a high attention to detail and accuracy.
7. Maintain confidentiality and projects a professional business image.

1. Assist lead and consulting actuaries during annual Medicare bid.
2. Develop reporting to assist in Medicaid rate setting process with the State.
3. Develop factors including plan relativities, trends and various loads used in pricing.
4. Produce monthly and quarterly reports for Finance and leadership.
5. Monitor and report on experience for the Medicare and Medicaid lines of business.
6. Compile and verify data, prepare reports, and provide various levels of analysis and modeling work.
7. Work on risk adjustment, reinsurance, and risk corridor modeling.
8. Assist in the budget development.
9. Support capitation rate setting process.
10. Prepare state and federal rate filings.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.
