Actuarial Fellow utilizes statistical analysis and modeling to assess and manage risk and estimate financial outcomes. Compiles, prepares, and analyzes data to develop statistical models, probability tables, and actuarial studies and evaluate the likelihood and financial impact of various risks. Being an Actuarial Fellow assists with product design and development by analyzing risk groups and calculating appropriate insurance rates, premium levels, and rating systems and structures. Records and tracks accruals, claims, and settlements and prepares documents for input into regulatory filings, financial budgets, forecasts, and other financial projections. Additionally, Actuarial Fellow applies knowledge of mathematics, probability, statistics, principles of finance and business to calculations in life, health, social, and casualty insurance, annuities, and pensions. Requires a bachelor's degree. Requires Fellow of Society of Actuaries (FSA). Typically reports to a manager. To be an Actuarial Fellow typically requires 12+ years of related experience. Achievement and depth of knowledge of specialization or field is the main differentiator. Advisory role on complex and challenging projects and initiatives.     SUMMARY:

    The Curriculum Fellow will coordinate and monitor curriculum development within and among

    content areas.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 30 months of successful teaching experience.
    • Demonstrates curriculum and instructional leadership.
    • Demonstrates organizational and supervision skills.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    CURRICULUM AND INSTRUCTION:

    • Coordinates curriculum development within and among content areas in collaboration

    with Assistant Superintendent.

    • Meets with Assistant Superintendent throughout the year to discuss curriculum and
    professional learning needs.
    • Monitors and assesses all student performance within content areas.
    • Develops and improves programs to increase student performance within content areas.
    • Facilitates interdisciplinary initiatives within content areas.
    • Stays current with emerging educational and learning research and convey findings to

    members of content area.

    • Holds curricular meetings with teachers and completes agendas and minutes of meetings
    to building principal and Assistant Superintendent.
    • Provides leadership and support to the team members to ensure student learning
    outcomes are met or exceeded.
    • Collaborates with school administration and staff to promote and implement best
    practices in teaching and learning.
    • Collaborates with team leaders to monitor and assess the effectiveness of curriculum and
    instruction to determine areas of improvement and make necessary adjustments.
    • Collaborate with leadership team to develop, plan, and provide ongoing professional
    development related to school improvement plan.

    STAFF:

    • Acts as facilitator to content area members about student needs, teaching methods,

    materials, techniques, and subject matter for the improvement of learning.

    • Facilitates professional growth of all content area members.
    • Establishes procedures for disbursement of texts and supplies across grade levels.
    • Serves as a liaison between building administration and learning area staff.
    • Serves as co-chair of district curriculum content committee.


    FISCAL:

    • Assists the district with development of the content area budget requests and purchases.
    • Facilitates inventories of all instructional material and equipment within the learning area.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
