Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Being an Activity Specialist is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Additionally, Activity Specialist performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision; typically reports to a supervisor or manager. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. ACTIVITY AIDE - Full-Time – Generations at Rock Island
Generations at Rock Island in Rock Island, IL seeks a Full-Time Activity Aide for 30 hours a week and alternating weekends. Must have experience in Long Term Care or Senior Living.
This is a Full-Time position with hours every other weekend and some days during the week. $14.00 per hour. When you work the weekend you'll have the Friday before the weekend and the Monday after the weekend off. Otherwise, you'll work Monday thru Friday.

Responsibilities of the Activity Aide:
- The Activity Aide will be responsible for providing interactive and enjoyable activities for our residents
- Assist in planning, developing, organizing programs and events
- Play games and make crafts with mobile residents
- Visit bed residents on a one-to-one basis
- Participate in resident assessment and discharge planning
- May assist with resident mail delivery

Requirements
of the Part Time Activity Aide:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Two (2) years of Long-Term Care experience preferred
- Positive, energetic and engaging demeanor
- High level of confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA standards-
- Must have compassion, tolerance and understanding for older adults
