Accounts Receivable Supervisor is responsible for supervising and guiding operations in the accounts receivable function of an organization. Maintains and reconciles accounts receivable ledger to ensure accurate and timely receipt of payments. Being an Accounts Receivable Supervisor monitors collection period and sends follow-up inquiries regarding payments for the organization. Negotiates with past-due accounts to resolve all payment issues in a timely manner. Additionally, Accounts Receivable Supervisor implements standard operating procedures to ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and controls. Generates reports to bring insight into collections, account ages, and other relevant metrics and relays conclusions to management. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. Successful candidate must be a team player and possess experience with all aspects of accounting including financial statements, general ledger, accounts receivable & accounts payable.
The Accounts Receivable Supervisor is responsible for supervising the process of customer account payments, invoices and follow-up inquiries regarding payments for the company. The Supervisor follows up on outstanding payments, resolves payment variances, and ensures timely reimbursement. He/she also serves as a leader in the accounting department and ensures the accuracy & timeliness of accounting records including keeping records of all correspondence regarding payment collection.
