Accounts Receivable Supervisor is responsible for supervising and guiding operations in the accounts receivable function of an organization. Maintains and reconciles accounts receivable ledger to ensure accurate and timely receipt of payments. Being an Accounts Receivable Supervisor monitors collection period and sends follow-up inquiries regarding payments for the organization. Negotiates with past-due accounts to resolve all payment issues in a timely manner. Additionally, Accounts Receivable Supervisor implements standard operating procedures to ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and controls. Generates reports to bring insight into collections, account ages, and other relevant metrics and relays conclusions to management. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Accounts Receivable Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be an Accounts Receivable Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. General Description:
The Accounts Receivable Clerk, compliant with company procedures, primarily provides general support to the Bookkeeping Department for creating and submitting customer invoices; preparing, posting, verifying, and recording customers’ payments/transactions; and maintain customer records.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Creating and entering invoices
- Sending bills to customers
- Processing payments
- Verifying and posting receipts
- Customizing correspondence for due, past due, and collection of accounts
- Reviewing files to identify delinquent accounts, and contact clients to request payments
- Maintaining records including changes, mergers or mail attention for clients’ contact information.
- Supporting the accounting department with reviewing discrepancies
- Assisting with reports, filing and other departmental needs
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate degree or certificate in business-related field preferred)
- At least two years related experience
Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently in fast paced environment
- Capable of interacting professionally with customers
- Excellent organization skills, detail oriented, and accuracy driven
- Adept to learning new software / computer savvy
Work Schedule:
- Days and hours to be prescribed by Management
