BASIC FUNCTION

The basic function of Accounts Receivable Clerk is to manage incoming service tickets on behalf of the company by timely and efficient billing of services provided to our customer.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Data entry of ticket information for billing purposes
2. Ensure required information has been obtained on tickets, prior to billing
3. Invoice entry into specialized billing programs for customers to process and remit payment
4. Tracking status of invoices sent for signature, return, and submission for payment
5. Assist in weekly and end of month billing as directed
6. Assist in collection efforts as requested
7. Assist in answering of calls, transferring as needed
8. Basic office duties, such as filing, coping, scanning, etc
9. Other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Proficient verbal and written communication skills
• Computer Literate
• Ability to speak, read and write English
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including strong customer service skills
• Excellent telephone etiquette skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Must be detail oriented
• Ability to multitask (talking on phone while typing in data or searching customer information)
• Ability to perform light lifting, stay in an office environment and have sedentary, low physical activity level for prolonged periods of time

Mathematical Skills

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and the ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages.

Reasoning Ability

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and the ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills

• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of personal computers and the ability to learn new applications.
