About the Role
The Associate Manager of Accounts Receivable is responsible for providing leadership and supervision of the Billing and Credit Specialist team members in their invoicing and credit management responsibilities. The position interacts regularly with both external and internal Uber Freight customers.
What the Candidate Will Do
Resolve billing discrepancies and propose adjustments to customer/client accounts as needed
Direct, motivate, manage, and lead the Accounts Receivable team with overall accountability for meeting established billing, credit evaluation and reporting deadlines in accordance with Uber Freight policies and procedures
Research customer credit histories; evaluate credit worthiness; and assign credit lines in compliance with Uber Freight credit approval policies. Ability to balance credit risk and maximizing business potential
Closely monitor high credit risk customers and take appropriate action to prudently manage risk
Monitor Uber Freight's credit/payment history for accuracy and recommend improvement opportunities
As needed update standard operating procedures for billing, invoice management, and credit evaluation
Be involved in on-boarding new customers as needed
Available to answer any invoice and credit related questions from customers
Collaborate with internal customers across all service groups (including Mexico and Canada) on issues affecting their customers/clients
Conduct performance reviews, motivate team members and create strategies to boost productivity
Complete Month End financial close processing as required
Coordinate with other functional groups and departments, and implement creative solutions and ongoing process control that improves cash flow, process effectiveness, cost efficiency and/or service improvements
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum 2 years of related experience
Preferred Qualifications
3-5 years of Finance experience, Accounts Receivable experience
Management experience
