About the Position:

We seek a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable to join our team. This is a part-time role, and we prefer candidates located in New Jersey, as there will be occasional in-person working days at our North Jersey Office office.

Location: Hybrid, North Jersey Office

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in accounting or related field is a plus.
• 2 years of accounts receivable or related experience preferred.
• Proficiency in using Stripe, Microsoft Excel, and other accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of accounts payable principles and practices.
• Familiarity with general accounting and financial reporting.

• Process invoices, expense reports, and purchase orders accurately and timely.
• Review and verify the accuracy of financial and accounting documents.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies as needed.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records of accounts payable.
• Assist with quarterly and year-end closing processes.
• Communicate with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve payment issues.
• Prepare and issue payments, including checks and electronic transfers.
• Assist with financial reporting and audits.
• Provide support for other accounting and finance tasks as required.

Requirements for Remote Work:

• Reliable internet connection.
• A designated home office space conducive to productive work.
• Ability to travel to the Akron office in Northeast Ohio for occasional in-person work days, as needed.
