SUMMARY:

This position will support the Controller in the completion of various accounting functions required to meet the goals of the department.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Accounts receivable processes:
• Daily Customer billing
• Post customer payments in financial software by recording checks, EFT and credit card transactions.
• Update Accounts Receivable aging daily
• Research and resolve customer issues relating to past due balances, pricing, returns, etc.
• Contact customers to collect all past due amounts
• Review credit applications, using pre-established metrics to determine approval

• Accounts payable processes:
• Review, record, and code invoices conforming to standard procedures in entering data into the financial software
• Verify accuracy, prepare, and submit vendor payments
• Vendor acknowledgment processing
• Reconcile PO and vendor acknowledge; follow up with vendors

• Cross train on other Accounts Payable processes and accounting functions as needed
• General office responsibilities, coordination and purchase of office supplies, office mail distribution, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, or related accounting role
• Associate degree or 2 years college in related field preferred
• Self-motivated with a commitment to meeting deadlines
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially with Microsoft Excel; Prelude helpful.
• Strong interpersonal skills to demonstrate teamwork and flexibility while working with all levels of the organization
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to communicate professionally with internal and external customers. Professional verbal and written skills.

Position is full-time, includes health insurance and 401(k) matching program.

5 days per month work from home available.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
