Job Title: Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Specialist

Nathan H Kelman is a fourth generation family owned scrap metal and paper recycling center located in Upstate New York. From our original 8 acre facility we have grown to become a large scale, multi-site recycling center and brokerage house servicing much of the continental US, Canada and Mexico. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team.

Position Overview:

As an Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial transactions of our company. You will be responsible for accurately processing invoices, managing vendor accounts and reconciling statements. Additionally, you will handle accounts receivable duties, including invoicing customers, tracking payments, and resolving any discrepancies. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial health and success of our organization, with plenty of room for advancement.

Key Responsibilities:

- Ensure all company transactions are recorded accurately and proficiently.

- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.

- Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions and vendor communications.

- Generate and distribute invoices to customers promptly and accurately.

- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing issues and disputes.

- Provide support to the finance team as needed, including participating in special projects and initiatives.

Qualifications:

- Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.

- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
