Accounts Payable Supervisor is responsible for supervising and guiding the day-to-day operational activities of an accounts payable function. Maintains and reconciles accounts payable ledger to validate charges and ensure accurate and timely payments. Being an Accounts Payable Supervisor prepares and evaluates applicable accounting reports to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost-savings and relays the conclusions to management. Implements standard operating procedures to maintain accurate financial records and compliance with accounting policies. Additionally, Accounts Payable Supervisor investigates and resolves discrepancies in billings and payments. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Accounts Payable Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be an Accounts Payable Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. As our Accounts Payable Manager, you will oversee the bank's accounts payable activities and assist branches and departments with accounts payable processes and procedures. You will also perform higher-level accounts payable related projects, accounts payable reporting, complex reconciliations, and research and analysis of accounting functions:
Education and Experience Requirements
4-year college degree (accounting, finance or related) or 2 years relevant college coursework and 2 years' experience in accounting or related field - or equivalent combination of education & experience

4-year college degree (accounting, finance or related) and 2 years' experience in accounting or related field - or equivalent combination of education & experience
Experience with bank accounting software and system integration
Knowledge of processes and regulations governing accounting in financial institutions
