Accounts Payable Supervisor jobs in Hobbs, NM

Requirements

• Train and mentor staff in proper recording and handling of vendor invoices/payments.
  
• Oversees daily workflow and projects for team.
  
• Management of all vendor invoices and supporting documentation to ensure proper coding to G/L accounts, AFEs and cost centers.
  
• Become the subject matter expert in invoice and payment processing and annual 1099 reporting.
  
• Prepare monthly expense accrual journal entries and analysis.
  
• Manage corporate credit card, T&E, and fuel card process.
  
• Supports the team by performing ongoing problem analysis and resolution.
  
• Ensure all escalated inquiries are responded to and resolved within a timely manner.
  
• Maintain and enhance SOX-appropriate control environment.
  
• Consistently apply accounting policies and procedures related to accounts payable.
  
• Identify and communicate opportunities for efficiencies and process improvements.
  
• Flexible to meet the changing needs of the business and willingness to take on new responsibilities and assignments.
  
• Ensure best-in-class customer service to all internal customers and external vendors.
  
• Compile and deliver documentation/information required for internal and external audits and reviews as required.
  
• Review, investigate and resolve discrepancies and irregularities as they arise.
  
• Familiarize oneself with the company’s legal entities and overall business.
  

• Strong accounts payable experience with a minimum of 5 years processing high volume accounts payable.
  
• Ability to trouble-shoot vendor issues and walk issues through to completion.
  
• Strong analytical skills – ability to identify and question inaccurate or inconsistent information.
  
• Exceptional productivity skills and ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  
• A confident self-starter with little need for close management supervision and direction.
  

• High school degree or GED equivalent
  
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
  
• Oil & Gas industry experience strongly preferred
