Accounts Payable/Receivable Supervisor is responsible for supervising and guiding the day-to-day operational activities of an organization's accounts receivable and accounts payable functions. Maintains and reconciles the accounts payable and accounts receivable ledger to validate charges and ensure timely and accurate payments and receipt of payments. Being an Accounts Payable/Receivable Supervisor implements standard operating procedures to maintain accurate financial records and control reports. Monitors collection period and sends follow-up inquiries regarding payments for the organization. Additionally, Accounts Payable/Receivable Supervisor negotiates with past-due accounts to resolve all payment issues in a timely manner. Prepares and evaluates applicable accounting reports to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost-savings or process improvements and relays conclusions to management. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Accounts Payable/Receivable Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be an Accounts Payable/Receivable Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. General description
The Comptroller’s office is seeking an Accounts Examiner in the Revenue Processing Division. The work involves accounts examination, research, analyzes and editing of work in an extremely busy, highly repetitive production environment. The candidate will learn new concepts quickly and apply knowledge appropriately in highly active environment and changing circumstances.
Qualifications
Minimum Experience:
· Graduation from an accredited high school or GED.
· Four years’ experience in a fast-paced, high-volume production, customer service, scanning, or similarly related work environment.
· Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Internet, or other Windows applications.
Preferred Experience:
· Revenue Administration experience.
· Experience preparing documents for scanning or imaging and/or working in an office setting as clerical or administrative support staff.
· Experience serving as a section Subject Matter Expert (SME) and/or lead facilitating or resolving issues.
Substitution of Education for Work Experience:
One year (30 semester hours) of education from an accredited college or university may substitute for one year of work experience up to a maximum of 4 years.
