Accounts Payable/Receivable Supervisor is responsible for supervising and guiding the day-to-day operational activities of an organization's accounts receivable and accounts payable functions. Maintains and reconciles the accounts payable and accounts receivable ledger to validate charges and ensure timely and accurate payments and receipt of payments. Being an Accounts Payable/Receivable Supervisor implements standard operating procedures to maintain accurate financial records and control reports. Monitors collection period and sends follow-up inquiries regarding payments for the organization. Additionally, Accounts Payable/Receivable Supervisor negotiates with past-due accounts to resolve all payment issues in a timely manner. Prepares and evaluates applicable accounting reports to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost-savings or process improvements and relays conclusions to management. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. Successful candidate must be a team player and possess experience with all aspects of accounting including financial statements, general ledger, accounts receivable & accounts payable.
The Accounts Receivable Supervisor is responsible for supervising the process of customer account payments, invoices and follow-up inquiries regarding payments for the company. The Supervisor follows up on outstanding payments, resolves payment variances, and ensures timely reimbursement. He/she also serves as a leader in the accounting department and ensures the accuracy & timeliness of accounting records including keeping records of all correspondence regarding payment collection.
