Accounts Payable/Receivable Supervisor jobs in Iowa
Accounts Payable/Receivable Supervisor is responsible for supervising and guiding the day-to-day operational activities of an organization's accounts receivable and accounts payable functions. Maintains and reconciles the accounts payable and accounts receivable ledger to validate charges and ensure timely and accurate payments and receipt of payments. Being an Accounts Payable/Receivable Supervisor implements standard operating procedures to maintain accurate financial records and control reports. Monitors collection period and sends follow-up inquiries regarding payments for the organization. Additionally, Accounts Payable/Receivable Supervisor negotiates with past-due accounts to resolve all payment issues in a timely manner. Prepares and evaluates applicable accounting reports to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost-savings or process improvements and relays conclusions to management. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Accounts Payable/Receivable Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be an Accounts Payable/Receivable Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. What we need from you:
- Two year accounting or business administrative degree; or equivalent work experience
- Demonstrate organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple projects at one time
- Excellent communication skills
- Good data entry skills with a strong attention to detail
- Excellent self starting skills demonstrating the ability to work under little supervision
- Must be able to learn and master propriety computer software
- Must demonstrate excellent computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office Products
- Excellent reconciling skills
