Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Manager to join our growing finance & accounting team. The Accounts Payable Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounts payable functions for our retail chain of 5 stores, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage weekly cycle of accounts payable, including invoice verification, coding, data entry, and payment processing.
2. Review and reconcile vendor statements, resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.
3. Ensure accurate and timely processing of vendor payments, including checks, ACH transfers, and electronic payments.
4. Maintain vendor records and communicate effectively with vendors regarding payment inquiries and discrepancies.
5. Collaborate with purchasing and receiving departments to ensure proper receipt and documentation of goods and services.
6. Develop and implement accounts payable policies and procedures to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
7. Monitor accounts payable aging and take appropriate actions to address outstanding balances and overdue payments.
8. Generate reports and provide analysis on accounts payable activities to support management decision-making.
9. Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and compliance requirements related to accounts payable.

Requirements

1. Proven experience in AP, preferably in the retail industry.
2. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field is ideal but not required. 
3. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
4. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
6. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay: $24.00 – $35.00 per hour DOE.
