Position Summary 

Working closely with the International Controller, the Accounts Assistant will handle day-to-day accounting and administrative tasks. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a growing team at a growing global organisation.

Roles and Responsibilities

This role entails the following:

• Recording of customer sales invoices, AR collections and allocations
• Recording of supplier invoices and maintenance of creditors ledger
• Preparation and review of expenses
• VAT returns
• Preparation of general ledger account reconciliations
• General office administration
• The right candidate will have increasing responsibility as they demonstrate their capabilities.
• Other ad-hoc duties

Qualifications

Job Requirements (please only apply if you strictly meet the criteria below):

• High sense of urgency and attention to detail
• 3 years of relevant professional experience
• Good understanding and knowledge of accounting processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Proficiency with basic business software and computerized accounting systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Used to working in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Flexible to meet changes in working requirements.
• Strong numeracy and analytical skills

Preferred but not required:

• Accounting Technician qualification or relevant Business Degree/Diploma a distinct advantage
