Reviews and evaluates the accounts payable register to ensure accuracy. Additionally, Accounts Payable Manager designs and implements standard policies and procedures to ensure accurate and compliant accounts payable records. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Accounts Payable Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Accounts Payable Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Manager to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will oversee the financial transactions of the dealership, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company policies and procedures. This position requires strong leadership abilities, exceptional organizational skills, and a thorough understanding of accounting principles.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable departments, including hiring, training, and performance management of staff.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure accurate and efficient processing of invoices, payments, and receivables.
- Monitor cash flow and financial transactions to ensure timely payment of invoices and collection of receivables.
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Prepare financial reports and forecasts for management review.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment of financial goals and objectives.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and laws governing financial transactions.
- Utilize Reynolds and Reynolds software to streamline processes and improve efficiency (experience with Reynolds and Reynolds software is a plus).
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Qualifications:
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable and/or accounts receivable roles, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Experience managing people, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience with Reynolds and Reynolds software preferred.
