Job Summary:

The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of the accounts payable function at Port to Port International. This includes ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices, as well as developing, implementing, and maintaining systems, procedures, and policies. The role is crucial for maintaining strong vendor relationships, optimizing cash flow, and ensuring financial transactions comply with legal and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the accounts payable department, including staff supervision, development, and performance management.
• Oversee and streamline the accounts payable processing system to ensure timely and accurate invoice processing.
• Develop and enforce internal controls to prevent fraud and ensure compliance with financial policies and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of all payable transactions.
• Coordinate with procurement and receiving departments to resolve invoice discrepancies and disputes.
• Manage monthly closings of financial records and posting of month-end information; ensure accuracy of financial statements.
• Provide accurate and comprehensive financial information to management for decision-making.
• Negotiate with suppliers to take advantage of early payment discounts.
• Prepare and analyze cash flow forecasts in relation to accounts payable.
• Liaise with external auditors and participate in audits by providing necessary documents and explanations regarding accounts payable processes and transactions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; master’s degree or CPA is a plus.
• Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Manager or similar supervisory role in the finance department.
• Thorough knowledge of accounts payable functions, systems, and best practices.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team.
• High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
• Proficient in accounting software and systems.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Working Conditions:

Typically works in an office environment. Standard working hours with additional hours required at month-end and fiscal year-end periods.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
