DARCARS Automotive Group is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Manager to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing the entire accounts payable function within our organization.

This includes processing and verifying invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely payments to suppliers and vendors. The Accounts Payable Controller will work closely with various departments to maintain financial integrity and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Invoice Processing: Oversee the processing of all invoices, ensuring accuracy, authorization, and compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Payment Management: Schedule and execute payments in a timely manner.
• Vendor Relations: Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, addressing any invoice discrepancies and negotiating terms where necessary.
• Financial Records: Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of all accounts payable transactions, reconciling accounts payable ledgers to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
• Internal Controls: Implement and maintain internal controls and procedures for the accounts payable process, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Reporting and Analysis: Prepare financial reports related to accounts payable, including aging reports, cash flow forecasts, and ad-hoc analysis to support financial decision-making.
• Input on efficiency options such as digital payables and AI options.
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the accounts payable team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Automotive Accounts Payable Manager, Controller, or similar role, with a thorough understanding of accounts payable functions and processes.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, compliance regulations, and internal controls.
• Proficiency in accounting software and systems, with a strong aptitude for learning new technology.
• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external partners.
• Leadership experience with the ability to mentor and motivate a team.
