Accounting Supervisor supervises accounting staff in daily operations of one or more accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, ledger maintenance, revenue, and asset accounting. Oversees calculating, posting, and verification of financial data for use in maintaining accounting and statistical records. Being an Accounting Supervisor ensures all analysis and reporting are accurate and prepared in compliance with accounting policies and procedures. Establishes and implements productivity and quality standards. Additionally, Accounting Supervisor typically requires a bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Accounting Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. As an Accounting Specialist, you will perform tasks necessary to balance and update general ledger and subsidiary accounts, maintain and reconcile daily cash accounts and manage other accounting related duties for the Credit Union and its CUSO’s (Credit Union Service Organizations).

Hours are typically Monday through Friday 8am-5pm.

Prior accounting experience and knowledge of QuickBooks a plus but not required.
Pay varies depending on experience, starting at $44,000.00.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the position:
· Responsible for daily and monthly general ledger reconciliations.
· Responsible for balancing of Day End Reports, including supervision of management reports.
· Daily monitoring of select general ledger accounts. Daily general ledger postings include, but are not limited to, corporate clearings, electronic transmissions, shared branching & settlements.
· Develop and implement procedures to streamline Credit Union accounting activities.
· Work closely with the Supervisory Committee, Auditor and NCUA when required.
· Assist with the handling, research, and settlement of posting exceptions and related errors.
· Input accounts payable invoices.
· Process and track debit card disputes.
· Perform other duties as requested by the Director of Accounting.
