Sentara Health is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as a

Manager, Accounting

Position Status: Full-time, Day Shift. Possibly opportunity for flexible work schedule (Hybrid)

Position Location: This position is an on site position for the Hampton Roads area of VA.

Standard Working Hours: 8:00AM to 5:00PM (ET).

Position Summary:

Works in and understands processes related to financial reporting, financial analysis, subsidiary ledger functions, planning and budgeting, and/or regulatory compliance for Sentara Health Plans Inc. (SHP).  Utilizes knowledge of insurance industry, accounting, auditing and management standards and practices to ensure effective internal controls and compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree Finance or Accounting
• Five years or more of related Accounting/Finance experience

Preferred:

• CPA
• Master's Degree
