The Accounting Manager - VA is responsible for fund accounting for all Delivery Orders (D.O.s), and for invoicing the Navy. The Accounting Manager - VA will be located in the Williamsburg, VA area. The Accounting Manager - VA reports to the Program Manager.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Receives Commercial Purchase Requisition/Receiving Reports.
• Coordinates all procurements to ensure that all contract requirements are complete.
• Ensures that approved purchasing practices are consistently followed.
• Provides supervision and guidance to personnel.
• Processes signed D.O.s and/or modifications as required.
• Ensures all D.O.s or modifications are filed as required.
• Ensures receipt for budget form in the accounting program for each sub-task.
• Ensures invoicing to the Navy and assumes responsibility for all D.O.s.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Undergraduate degree or higher from an accredited university in business/accounting or five years equivalent experience.
• At least 10 years of experience implementing and enforcing all Government accounting practices.
• Demonstrated knowledge and thorough understanding of DELTECH and/or MICROSOFT DYNAMICS NAV accounting programs and Defense Contract Management Command (DCMC) requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage an Accounting Department and provide oversight to employees and maintain auditable accounting records.
