Accounting Clerk jobs in Santa Clarita, CA
Accounting Clerk performs routine accounting activities such as data entry, maintenance of the general ledger, preparation of various accounting statements and financial reports. Reviews, codes, and verifies transactions including billings, invoices, checks, and journal entries. Being an Accounting Clerk assists in completing moderately complex calculations using spreadsheets and other software tools. Reconciles accounts and bank statements. Additionally, Accounting Clerk has a basic understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Accounting Clerk works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Ledgent Finance & Accounting has partnered with a growing investment management firm located in Pasadena, CA and is actively seeking an Accounting Clerk to join their team! This is a contract to hire position and is on-site, M-F.
processing transactions, issuing checks, updating ledgers, assisting with financial reports, and creating and updating expense reports.
They will also be responsible for handling communications with clients.
This position requires a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in computers, especially advanced Excel, is a crucial requirement for this role
Requirements
- 6 months of accounting experience
- Familiarity with accounting software and financial systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong Excel skills.
