Accounting Clerk performs routine accounting activities such as data entry, maintenance of the general ledger, preparation of various accounting statements and financial reports. Reviews, codes, and verifies transactions including billings, invoices, checks, and journal entries. Being an Accounting Clerk assists in completing moderately complex calculations using spreadsheets and other software tools. Reconciles accounts and bank statements. Additionally, Accounting Clerk has a basic understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Accounting Clerk works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. As an Accounting clerk for Blue Bell Landscaping, a div. of KeyServ Company, you will be responsible for the following:
- Provide accounting and clerical support.
- Assist with the data entry of accounts receivable.
- Assist with job costing and reconciliations.
- Assist with general office filing.
- Processing bank deposits, retrieval, and processing of incoming mail
- Assist with general office duties including making copies, scanning documents, and mailing.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Post daily payments and make bank deposits.
- Be a backup for payroll.
Required Skills
- Basic accounting skills
- Bookkeeping experience
- Proficient in Accounts Receivable
- Data entry and word processing
- Monthly billing
- Competency in MS Office products, databases, and accounting software
