CULTURE:

The Accounting Clerk will support the Controller with various accounting tasks, in the office. The Accounting Clerk must have accounting/bookkeeping experience, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, account reconciliation and month end close. Strong data analysis skills, flexibility to thrive while working independently and as part of a team. Additional, must have the ability to manage a variety of tasks while consistently meeting deadlines.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

• Perform general office tasks.
• Attention to detail while preparing, organizing and maintain accounting records.
• Preparing monthly end journal entries and assisting with month end close, bank and account reconciliation.
• Produce a variety of reports for internal and external stakeholders, including income statements and balance sheets.
• Evaluate reports for accuracy, figures, and postings.
• Ability to reconcile and report any discrepancies found in records.
• Work with department managers and staff with monthly manager reports.
• Ability to document accounting processes and procedures.
• Reconcile invoices for accuracy and assist accounts payable transactions.
• Act as back up to process accounts payable, maintain MMH Payables email with consistent daily review, reply and related correspondence regarding all accounts payable matters.
• Maintain invoice log and distribute invoices to various department managers for approval.
• Add and maintain vendor information in accounting software. 
• Prepare aging report, pull invoices to print checks and obtain check signatures as needed weekly.
• Maintain all VISA transactions, obtain receipts and approvals. 
• Assist with maintaining MMH accounts payable computer files.
• Secondary contact for all accounts payable questions. 
• Regular and predictable attendance.
• Continuous learning in both personal and professional development

QUALIFICATIONS:

     MINIMUM:

• Must be onsite.
• Skills: Analytical, organized, multitasked, excellent communicator, collaborative, relationship building, and time management skills.

    PREFERRED:

• Education completed in accounting or related experience.
• Most have accounting/book keeping experience, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, account reconciliation and month end.
