Duties:
- Assist with general ledger accounting tasks, including journal entry preparation and reconciliation
- Process accounts payable transactions and ensure timely payments
- Adaptable to learn payroll skills
- Conduct credit analysis and assist with collections
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records in accounting software (e.g., Xero)
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Support the accounting team with ad-hoc projects as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Previous experience in public accounting or corporate accounting is a plus
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting principles
- Proficiency in using accounting software, such as Xero or similar platforms
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
