Accounting Clerk performs routine accounting activities such as data entry, maintenance of the general ledger, preparation of various accounting statements and financial reports. Reviews, codes, and verifies transactions including billings, invoices, checks, and journal entries. Being an Accounting Clerk assists in completing moderately complex calculations using spreadsheets and other software tools. Reconciles accounts and bank statements. Additionally, Accounting Clerk has a basic understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Accounting Clerk works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.     Essential Job Functions

    • Reconcile and record daily receipts and deposits
    • Process AP and AR invoices, payments, and receipts
    • Post journal entries into ERP system
    • Reconcile and monitor GL account activity and balances
    • Identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
    • Generate internal reports
    • Process and distribute incoming mail
    • Coordinate lost & found
    • Assist with budget and forecast process
    • Assist with annual audit
    • Cross train on other accounting tasks
    • Maintain digital and physical financial records
    • Complete assigned financial projects
    • Monitor and enforce Cash Handling policies
    • All other duties as assigned

    Basic Qualifications

    • 18 years of age or older
    • Dependable transportation to and from work
    • Language skills: Fluent knowledge of the English language; including the ability to read and interpret written information and speak and understand verbal communication
    • Ability to fulfill the physical requirements of the position with any reasonable accommodations as necessary
    • Authorized to work in the United States

    Preferred Qualifications

    • An Associate’s degree in Accounting or other business-related field
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office software systems with strong working knowledge of Excel
    • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
    • Highly dependable with a history of consistent attendance and punctuality
    • Guest-focused/service-oriented; ability to see big picture and impact on Company. Supports Company mission as serves as an advocate for its products and services

    Working Conditions

    • Work environment: Semi-quiet office environment within an upbeat, high-energy sports and event complex with heavy foot traffic and frequent large crowds.
    • Physical requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the team member will be regularly required to perform physical activity that includes moving about the work area, sitting and standing. The team member will be frequently required to bend, reach with hands and arms, lift, push, pull, talk, hear, smell, stoop, kneel, or crouch. He or she is required to have the visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
    • Lifting requirements: The team member will occasionally be required to lift, push, pull, lower and/or move up to 30 lbs occasionally.
