Accountant

Commando’s Finance team is growing! We are looking for an experienced accounting professional to join our Finance team! The ideal candidate will be thorough and attentive, with the ability to work independently and with a team. The Accountant will participate in end-of-month closings and support the Finance team with various duties.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

• Support in all aspects of the general ledger and reconcile accounts for monthly and annual closing
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements
• Review ledger-level transactions for opportunities to cut costs and optimize operations for better financial results
• Reviews complex financial accounting work processes, systems, and procedures for efficient workflow and conformity with accounting principles
• Partner closely with the Controller and accounting team to ensure proper review for month-end
• Manage off-price and seasonal inventory reserves
• AP Aging Reconciliation
• Other financial/analytical projects/tasks as assigned
• Research, reporting, and support to Controller as needed
• Follow all ergonomic standards and safety requirements directed by the company and the department
• Adhere to commando’s inventory control procedures

Knowledge & Skill Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years equivalent experience (apparel & manufacturing, a plus)
• Proficiency with computers, especially excel, experience with Microsoft Dynamics D365 is a plus
• Proficient in accounting principles, understand finance concepts and cash management

• Strong analytical, technology, communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work with confidential material and act with discretion
• Maturity and ability to work independently and as a team player
• Excellent listening and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
• Highly self-motivated and self-directed with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks
