PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Accountant ensures timely, accurate, and consistent recording of dealership transactions, as well as preparing and analyzing the internal monthly financial statements. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for identifying variances in trend reporting and the causes of those variances.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION/DUTIES:

• Conduct in-depth financial analysis, providing insights that support strategic decision-making for the organization
• Generate comprehensive financial reports and present findings to stakeholders, facilitating informed discussions and driving financial strategies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, offering financial insights and recommendations to optimize operational efficiency
• Analyzes financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and equity, and prepares balance sheet, income statement, and other reports to summarize and interpret current and projected company financial position for other managers
• Supports new business activities, including acquisitions, for corporate stakeholders
• Devises and implements new processes and systems for general accounting
• Makes recommendations regarding the accounting of reserves, assets, and expenditures
• Conducts studies and submits recommendations for improving the organization's accounting operation
• Reviews balance sheet accounts monthly
• Prepares work papers to support month-end close activities
• Completes ad-hoc assignments for management and key team stakeholders
• Coordinates support for external business partners

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or finance
• CPA license or MBA preferred, but not required
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and Excel
• Must have strong organizational, leadership and communication skills
• Must work well with others and be able to multi-task and prioritize work

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Extended periods of sitting
• Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
