Accountant:

Reports to: Controller

Classification: Exempt

Job Function:

We are looking for a mature, responsible person with 5 years of accounting experience. This person must be looking for a long-term position. This person will assist in the accurate and timely maintenance of the accounting function at GHK and the owner’s personal business. Confidentiality is essential. This person must be a detail oriented, self-starter and have the initiative to keep all aspects of the accounting department on regular schedules.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Perform reconciliations of various accounts for and between multiple entities.

· Ensure proper regulatory reporting practices.

· Prepare weekly cash report with respect to various GHK entities.

· General ledger activities for various GHK entities.

· As necessary, precisely prepare any required regulatory reports.

· Field and resolve questions concerning general ledger.

· Make journal entries, prepare schedules, reconcile general ledger accounts and other duties necessary to close GHK’s books on prescribed schedules.

· Perform miscellaneous daily functions of the accounting department. These duties include, but are not limited to, bank reconciliations, entering accounts payable, entering cash deposits and transfers, cash flow projects and various reports.

· Coordinate and complete other special projects and assignments deemed necessary by GHK management and the owners.

· Provide all data and coordinate with external tax return preparers.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting

· Minimum five years of accounting experience

· Experience in MS Office Suite, Accounting Software (Enertia a plus)

· Excellent communication skills and ability to work with others.

· Oil and gas accounting knowledge, especially Revenue accounting, is a plus.
