Job Description
Job Title: Accountant
Department: Finance
Supervisor: Assistant Corporate Controller
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintains financial records and ensures that financial transactions are properly recorded.
- Ensures the accuracy of entries to the general ledger accounts and does proper reconciliations of the balance sheet accounts.
- Ensures accuracy of balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports.
- Analyzes current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses.
- All other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in Accounting or Finance preferred or equivalent experience required.
- A minimum of 2 - 4 years of experience working in Accounting or Finance.
- Experience working with multiple levels of leadership.
- Manages time effectively and adapts to quickly changing priorities.
- Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
- Verbal, written communication, and organizational skills are also needed in this position.
- Must have strong computer skills.
- Ability to utilize Microsoft Excel.
- Attention to detail, excellent problem solving, judgment making, analytical, customer service and organizational skills.
- Ability to build relationships with all parts of the business, IT, HR, Divisions, Operations, local accounting team and larger company wide accounting team.
Working Conditions:
- This position reports into our NKY office.
- Travel up to 10% of the time.
- Working in a stationary position for an extended period.
- Operating computers for an extended period.
- Moving or traversing for an extended period.
- This position spends most of the time inside a climate-controlled environment.
