Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Conduct regular balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
- Perform cash flow analysis to monitor and forecast company's cash position
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather financial information for reporting purposes
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings
- Conduct research on accounting issues and provide recommendations for resolution
- Stay updated on industry trends, changes in accounting regulations, and best practices
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Proven experience as an Accountant or similar role
- Strong knowledge of debits, credits, and general ledger functions
- Proficiency in balance sheet reconciliation techniques
- Familiarity with cash flow analysis and financial concepts
- Experience with financial services or LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) is a plus
- Knowledge of securities law is a plus
- Proficient in using accounting software (e.g., PeopleSoft)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
