Sr. Federal Account Manager
Location: Washington, DC area - Hybrid DC office and client site

BlueVoyant is looking for a Sr. Federal Account Manager to play a pivotal role in advising client organizations to achieve strategic objectives. You will engage with client leadership and support teams to understand the client’s mission and their strategic objectives relevant to supply chain risk and security, in order to advise on best practices within the supply chain security domain and optimal integration of BlueVoyant solutions within our government portfolio. You will leverage your leadership and operational experiences to guide our clients through strategy discussions, and problem-solving workshops, often in cross-matrix and multi-party teams, to develop program documents such as whitepapers, strategic and technology roadmaps, tabletop preparedness plans, Course of Action outcomes, remediation and mitigation plans.
Our account managers are also critical leaders in product development and technology roadmap, helping to align our clients’ end-to-end cybersecurity and business risk needs with BlueVoyant’s broad portfolio of products and services. This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, analyzing business processes, and implementing transformational initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities- Client Support
- Establish familiarity and deep understanding of client mission areas.
- Support delivery efforts by representing BVGS to Defense clients, establish strong working relationships and be responsive to any client requests.
- Deliver analytical products and provide regular updates to the customer to ensure they understand the ROI (to encourage contract extension/renewal)
- Products and activities include strategy discussion outcomes and way-ahead plans, and problem-solving workshops, whitepapers, strategic and technology roadmaps, tabletop preparedness plans, Course of Action outcomes, remediation and mitigation plans.
- Identify potential areas for capability (technology delivery) and support enhancements by working with the customer and staff to identify gaps.
- Work with the development team to expand offerings based on these RFIs and customer interactions.
- As required, support capture/BD efforts by advising on potential customers, offering opinions on white papers, proposals, etc., and accompanying on site visits to support presentations.
- Operational Support
- Mature standard operating procedures for federal customers in best utilization of BlueVoyant’s offerings
- Aid BlueVoyant Government Solutions leadership in developing a talent pipeline to fill future hires required to scale the business successfully.
- Support and manage client relationships and the individual client journeys from onboarding into steady state and through to renewal.
- Serve as a senior strategic advisor with guidance on cybersecurity best practices and industry trends.
- Support / drive monthly and quarterly business review cadence to ensure intentional and consistent communication.
- Serve as the operational interface among various BlueVoyant operations teams to:
- Ensure consistent quality of service delivery.
- Steward client issues from identification through resolution.
- Facilitate feedback to advocate for capability improvements on behalf of our clients in partnership with our Product Management team.
- Deliver evidence of ongoing performance improvements in partnership with our ROC team.
- Enable business development in renewal, cross-sell, and up-sell opportunities.
- Demonstrate value of SCD solution to clients through regularly briefings and other client interactions.
- Drive high client satisfaction (customer satisfaction scores qualitative).
- Identify client support needs and bring in business development team members to have potential cross-sell conversations.
- Shepherd clients to serve as advocates in the BlueVoyant Client Referral Program (case studies, referrals to prospective clients, other marketing material engagement).
- Create and execute service improvement plans as appropriate.
- Travel to Clients as requested.
Qualifications- 15 years of experience in advising on and delivering third-party risk and cybersecurity solutions to federal customers.
- Deep familiarity with federal supply chain risk management challenges and cybersecurity missions
- Expertise in federal contracting best practices, pricing, and strategies for successfully delivering managed services to federal customers at scale.
- Proven track record of building and leading teams
- Ability to understand client business drivers and risk tolerance and apply industry trends.
- Understanding of BlueVoyant differentiators and ability to communicate our value.
- Willingness to be available and responsive to clients’ needs as required.
Preferred Competencies- Prior experiencing implementing or contributing to US federal third-party risk management programs.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or a related field (master's degree preferred).
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Proficiency in utilizing technology and software tools to drive transformation initiatives.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all organizational levels.
- Security certifications (CISSP or similar)
